Article 4 (J) -Transfer to Higher Category |
All employees who are promoted to a higher
rated classification shall receive the next immediate higher rate
of pay for that classification, and be credited with the hours
for the progression to which the employee is placed.
The employee shall then work 520 hours and continue to
progress through the remaining steps each 520 hours thereafter.

Upon promotion employees credited for all
back hours in new classification and continue to move up
progression every 520 hours.

Article 5 (A)(2) and (3) - Full-time Employee |
The Company shall maintain a percentage of
full-time to part-time Food Clerks and General Merchandise Clerks
by company district based upon the percentage of full-time to
part-time Food Clerks and General Merchandise Clerks in the
Company which exists on the effective date of the contract.
Effective 3/1/08 the percentage shall increase by 2 %. Effective
3/1/09 the percentage shall increase by an additional 3 %. |

Article 5 (Q) – Sunday Guarantee |
Part-time food clerks may be scheduled for a
four (4) hour minimum guaranteed shift on Sunday in a ratio of one
(1) such shift to every one (1) eight (8) hour Food Clerk Sunday
shift or fraction thereof. |
Modifies Sunday Guarantee from 2 full-time
shifts to every 1 part-time shift to 1 full-time shift to every 1
part-time shift. |

Article 6(B)(2) – Sunday Premium |
Employees hired prior to 3/1/04 (except
Clerk’s Helpers) – 1 ½ times minus $1.00. Employees hired or
promoted on or after 3/1/04 (except Clerk’s Helpers) - $1.00 per
hour until employee reaches top rate for classification and then 1
¼ times. |
Sunday Premium rate for employees hired prior
to 3/1/04 increases as wages increase.
Sunday Premium rate for employees hired or
promoted on or after 3/1/04 will increase to 1 ¼ times when
employee reaches top pay for classification. |

Article 7 (I) – Holidays for Employees Hired
on or After 3/1/04 |
Employees hired on or after 3/1/04 shall be
entitled to the Christmas holiday after an employee completes
probationary period.
Employees hired on or after 3/1/04 shall be
entitled to the Memorial Day holiday after an employee has
completed three (3) years of employment. |
Accelerates earning of Christmas and Memorial Day holidays for new
hires. |

Article 7 (I) (e) – Holidays for Employees
Hired on or After 3/1/04 |
Eliminate language. Following language
applies to all employees: When a contractual holiday falls on a
Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed, except that for
the Christmas Day holiday, which shall always be observed on
December 25. |
Holidays celebrated on the same day for all
employees. |

Article 7 (I) (f) – Holidays for Employees
Hired on or After 3/1/04 |
No employee shall be required to work on
Christmas Day. |
Employees only work Christmas Day if they
volunteer. |

Article 8 (C) – Vacations |
Add four weeks of vacation after 15 years |

Article 15 (A) – Trust Funds (Benefit Fund) |
Employer will contribute one rate on
all hours worked by all employees. The Unions along with the
Consultants will design a fair benefit plan for all employees and
retirees based on overall contribution. |
SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENTS FOR ALL IN BENEFIT
PLAN. WAITING PERIOD FOR NEW HIRES REDUCED. OUT OF POCKET COSTS
FOR ALL EMPLOYEES TO BE REDUCED.

Employer will contribute one rate on

Pension Fund and reserves to build up and aid
in eliminating 412(E) restrictions on increases in pension in
future contracts.

contributions rates and dates as Albertsons, Ralphs and Vons |
Favored Nations provision for Trust Funds
